Great tips. Any tips on adding light in an office for videos? I have trouble with bad video quality for night time Zooms. The room light stinks and when I try to add other lighting it’s too much.
You are a rockstar Ed
Hey, thank you so much! I appreiacte you tuning in, commenting, and sharing – that is really awesome of you!
I’m glad this helped!
Yes please
Shade is your friend when you are outside
We love that shade especially on those hot summer days right? LOL
I love shooting on overcast days and in the shade. It give great lighting.
Ed Troxell Creative It is exciting but scary at the same time. Currently I am a photographer and will most likely always do some form of photography. I will going into life consulting/coaching. I am going to help people to take them from where they are right now to where they want to be by goal setting, identifying roadblocks, and mindsets that keep them from reaching their goals.
Marilyn Weaver I love it!
Yes, pivoting can be scary and exciting all at the same time
Remind me, do you go LIVE currently? And if not, will you start given the new business?
Ed Troxell Creative I occasionally go live. I found it hard to go live with photography. Currently if I go live, it usually is a life lesson or something like that. I know it will be easier with the new business. I will have more live content naturally in the new business because of how I am geared.
Marilyn Weaver yes! Photography can be a little more challenging but I’m excited that the seed has been planted for more LIVE topics to come!
Ed Troxell Creative you and Nicole planted the seeds of me doing lives.
Yes, that is the best! Are you going LIVE more these days?
Ed Troxell Creative I should be. I am in the midst of pivoting my business from one industry to another. So I am working on the behind the scenes things to launch my new business.
Marilyn Weaver oh, that’s exciting! If you want, feel free to share here what industry you are transitioning from and what one you are going into so others browsing the comments can see and maybe even follow you if it fits for them. 🙂
Great Tips! I am going to be employing all of them!

Love these tips. I like doing my videos on my porch, because I get much better lighting as a result. Vs in my room where I done have any good available light sources.
Brittany Gregory yes!!! That is a great example!
I’ve always loved outdoor lighting and what better place than your front porch
Thank you for the tips! I figured out how to set my office up to use the natural lighting!
