In this episode, Erin shares with us her milestone, celebrating 2 years and counting, with her business Suade Marketing. Learn what motivated this mom of 4 to start her own business and what her key to survival has been.
What’s the best career advice you have ever received?
Don’t spend money like it’s your own. My ex-boss, Chad Peevy. He recognized I had a negative money mind and it got in the way of my confidence to sell.
What is your proudest career accomplishment and why?
Making it two whole years. I’ve had a million reasons to give up and I haven’t.
What has been the hardest career moment and how did you overcome it?
Owning my value. Asking for a raise when it was the right thing. That was harder than being told no or even telling a lead no. I had to stop feeling and acting like any of it was personal. Put on that CEO hat and have a tough conversation, which actually ended up being a cakewalk.
“Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate. Do not let the bitterness steal your sweetness.” – Kurt Vonnegut
