What’s the best career advice you have ever received?

Lisa Nichols told me to use my day job to fund my dream. It was amazing advice that I wish I had followed.

What is your proudest career accomplishment and why?

My proudest career accomplishment was receiving an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Humane Letters from Indiana Tech University for my 20 years of service in arts, education, business, teaching, and publishing. It was by far, one of the proudest moments in my life.

What has been the hardest career moment and how did you overcome it?

The hardest career moment has been building a business with little money to invest. I have taken advantage of free training, online resources and groups and I’ve learned to stretch my resources and make them work for me.
